Automating Cloud Security Compliance Using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Policy as Code (PaC)
Abstract
Ensuring security compliance in dynamic cloud environments is challenging due to the rapid pace of infrastructure changes. This paper presents an automated compliance framework that integrates Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Policy as Code (PaC) to enforce security policies during infrastructure provisioning. The framework uses declarative templates and policy definitions to validate security configurations, monitor drift, and automate remediation. Performance tests demonstrate that the proposed framework reduces manual intervention, enhances compliance accuracy, and accelerates deployment cycles. The study concludes that IaC and PaC integration improves security posture and operational efficiency in cloud-based infrastructure.
