AI-Powered Virtual Health Assistants: Enhancing Patient Engagement and Healthcare Accessibility
Abstract
The increasing demand for personalized healthcare services has led to the development of AI-powered virtual health assistants (VHAs). This study explores the integration of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and deep learning in VHAs to provide real-time patient support, medication reminders, and preliminary symptom assessments. The proposed system leverages conversational AI to enhance patient engagement and reduce the burden on healthcare professionals. Our findings indicate that AI-driven VHAs improve accessibility, especially for remote and underserved populations, while maintaining high accuracy in patient interactions.
